About eJavaShop and The Mississippi Coffee Company
When we (the eJavaShop staff) discovered the coffee at The Mississippi Coffee Company we fell in love! The great coffee characteristics are second to none, but when we learned about the company and it's values we wanted to be part of how they are using coffee to make a difference in the world.
Mississippi Coffee Roast Master
Mark McKee, the Roast Master at The Mississippi Coffee Company, explains how they are building relationships with the farmers that they purchase coffee from and how they are committed to them for the long haul. Mark said, "The results of this relationship cannot be measured in corporate spread sheets and financials but instead in the lives of those that have been changed, the schools and medical clinics that have been established, and the fresh water wells that are available when before there were none. Not only are we committed to purchasing their coffee and paying a fair price but we also assist them in the improvement of their coffee, teaching them about creating a quality product along with sustainable agricultural practices."
The eJavaShop Story
eJavaShop owner Dan Wellborn discovered the great taste of The Mississippi Coffee Company coffee while attending church in Madison Mississippi. The church provides many of the flavors available on this site and Dan tasted them all. Dan fell in love with the taste of Southern Roasted Pecan flavored coffee and was determined to find out where it was coming from.
After asking around, Dan discovered that it was from a local Mississippi company called The Mississippi Coffee Company and that the company purchased the beans, roasted, and flavored the coffee themselves at their offices in Canton Mississippi. After a little research Dan discovered that his old friend Scott Allen owned this company and they began conversations about all that the company was involved in to help people around the globe and how they are committed to provided the best coffee on the planet.
Scott knew Dan owned a technology company (Confidence Solutions, Inc.) and asked him to help with the eCommerce side of the business. Dan was excited about the opportunity and wanted to assist in the mission of The Mississippi Coffee Company so he started eJavaShop.

The Mississippi Coffee Company History
The Mississippi Coffee Company was started in 2002 because of a vision that the owner, Scott Allen had to form relationships around coffee. Scott has always loved coffee and the way it naturally builds relationships and causes people to sit down, slow down and get to know each other. It began when he purchased coffee from local roasters and provided coffee to his local church, businesses and neighbors. Scott, in many of the "old fashioned" ways he was brought up, would drive the coffee around in his car for delivery and set up displays at local events in the Mississippi area, always taking time to get to know people, shake their hands and build lasting relationships.
Where We Are Now
In July of 2008 The Mississippi Coffee Company began roasting their own coffee in Canton Mississippi. The vision that Scott originally had grew much larger when he began bringing in coffee that came either directly from coffee farmers or through others who had built relationships with these farmers. Scott had taken his simple passion of having coffee that builds relationships far outside of the walls of Mississippi. The coffee that The Mississippi Coffee Company roasts support medical clinics, water wells, schools and basic needs that families and individuals have in places such as Papua New Guinea, El Salvador and Panama.
Our Future
The future of The Mississippi Coffee Company looks bright as we step out to build relationships that change lives through coffee. Coffee is the second largest traded commodity next to oil and as people such as yourselves purchase our fresh roasted coffee you help support the simple vision and mission that Scott Allen has to change lives and build relationships throughout the World.
